What’s The Attraction?

Dave peers into the washing machine / June 6, 2008
I often see Linda going into the back room of the basement and then hear strange noises from these two metal boxes that are back there. Well, she went out to the store today and I decided to investigate what is so interesting about them that causes her to use these so regularly. I opened the lid of the box on the right, and didn’t notice anything interesting at all. Just an empty metal container with holes in it and some type of stalactite thing sticking up through the center. The box on the left was very similar, except had a door on the front and was also empty.
Is she getting inside these and doing something? Must be a woman thing.

Three rainbow trout being cooked on wooden planks on the grill. / June 6, 2008
Having successfully grilled salmon a few times on wood planks in the Weber, we tried our luck with some rainbow trout yesterday evening. After 23 minutes on the grill, all I’ve got to say is “Yum!”
I can’t recall when the last time I ate rainbow trout, but I know the next time will be not far in the future.

Keely kicks her feet in the pool during breaktime at swimming lessons. / June 27, 2008
Today was my 9/80 Friday and also Keely’s last day of her two week swimming class, so I was able to attend and take a few pictures. The class has learned to put their faces in the water, swim the forward crawl, tread water, jump off the side of the pool, and some of the brave, off the diving board.
Better Late Than Never

This is something I should have started years ago, but that is water under the bridge, and the journey will start now.
I’m Dave, and this is the start of my report. This report will be a continuing account of the goings on around me and my family. I am married to Linda, and have four children — Brian, Brittany, Keely and Henry.
Of course I have photo albums and digital images dating back to when I was a child, but in looking through them, only our memories help in telling the story of what was going on. As I get older, and look back on photos from my early years, and those before I was born with relatives I may or may not have met, I must depend on stories heard by my parents, and grandparents to know the story and characters within these photographs.
It is my hope that through this report to add more detail and information to the photographs taken now, so that my children and future grandchildren will have that information accessible to them without depending on the memory of others.
Thank you for visiting.
